What qualities do I need?

You need to be:

> Well organised

> Enthusiastic

> Patient

> Caring

> Imaginative

> Encouraging

What time commitment is involved?

> An hour or so a week during term-time to organise and run the

Beaver meeting

> An hour or so once a term to plan the programme

> An hour or so to attend the occasional church parade

> The odd day to take the Beavers on outings

What qualifications do I need?

Absolutely none! If you are a parent then you probably already have all

the qualities necessary. You just need to be security checked. Training

is available if you want it

What if I don't know what to do?

We work as a team. We discuss ideas together and all the preparation

and organizing will be shared between us. We learn as we go along. We

share experience and knowledge.

What will I get out of helping?

Satisfaction comes from seeing the children grow and develop. It is

rewarding to see the Beavers having fun and learning how to get along

with each other. It is good to put something back into our local

community.
